For the enjoyment of all Winston Manor residents, please ensure that all family members and guest are familiar with and abide by the policy and rules of the pool and tennis facility. Rowdy and reckless behavior, glass on the pool deck, lifting a person above the water line are some of the more common violations that need our attention. Any questions or concerns regarding the pool operations, staffing, etc. should be directed to or emailed to any Board member. A few additional reminders are listed below.

Pool Closings

Management reserves the right to close the facility at any time due to inclement weather, unsafe conditions, special events, or very low attendance. Additionally, the facility will close one hour prior to home swim meets. These dates and times are listed on the Swim Team news page.

Pool Policies

Sign-in Register

The name of each person entering the facility must be placed on the Daily Register. Please enter both first and last names. Additionally, all guests must be registered and paid for, per guidelines below.

Guests & Guest Fees

The facility is for the sole use of Winston Manor residents and their accompanied guests. Guest fees are $5.00 per person. Grandchildren, grandparents, nannys or babysitters watching a resident child, or out of town or overnight guests (limited), are exempt. Guests under 5 or over 60 are also exempt. Guest fees apply to everyone entering the facility whether or not they swim. Guest fees must be paid at the time of entry.

Houseguests are small groups (usually less than six) of relatives or friends who are visiting from out of town and are sleeping and eating at a Winston Manor residence. Large family reunions, “local” pajama parties, and overnight birthday parties are examples that do not fall under this intent of the “houseguest” fee waiver.

In connection therewith, the HOA Board has the authority to impose fines for violations of rules and assessments, pursuant to Article IV, Section 21, Fining Procedures.  For a violation of the pool rules/guest policy, notice will be issued and a fine will be imposed.

  • $50.00 for the first infraction per incident/date
  • $100.00 for a second infraction per incident/date
  • $250.00 for a third infraction per incident/date

If violations continue after a third violation, the HOA Board may deem further violations as being unlawfully on HOA premises and may contact law enforcement to have such persons removed as trespassers.

Smoking

Remember that your neighbors have elected to have the complex operate as a non-smoking facility. This includes the parking lot area, especially when it is used for neighborhood parties and functions.

Diapers

Please dispose of soiled diapers in the appropriate containers in the restrooms. DO NOT place in trash receptacles on the pool deck. Make sure you are aware of the Fecal Accident Procedures. Regular diapers are not permitted in either pool. Non-potty trained children must be wearing special swimming diapers/pants to enter the pools.

Band-aids

Band-aids usually do not stay on while swimming and create an unsightly mess and potential health hazard. If a wound is so severe that it requires a band-aid, then the individual most likely should not enter the water. When practical, band-aids should be removed before entering the water and discarded in the biological waste container in the office.

Entertaining Guidelines for All Pool Events

If you host an event at the pool, you are in charge and should be at the pool during the entire event. Please ensure that no glass is brought into the pool area. Food, beverage, removable decor and small games are permitted, but no large items such as bounce houses, slides, etc. All guests must leave by 8:00 pm and all clean up activities completed. The host/hostess are responsible for ensuring the pool area is left in the same conditioned as rented.
